e-Estonia — The path to Europe
On April 24 an informational seminar/meeting entitled “e-Estonia — The path to Europe” will be held at the Radisson Sonya Hotel, St. Petersburg. The aim of the seminar is to introduce Russian ICT companies to the benefits and advantages of doing business in Estonia.
The seminar is targeted at CEOs looking to initiate or expand their companies’ activity abroad, and start-up companies (active developers) who already have a product or service and plan to introduce it to the European market.
Representatives from the major Estonian universities at Tallinn and Tartu will offer valuable information to those interested in beginning partnership programs with the country’s universities.
During the first part of the conference, participants will have an opportunity to learn about the Estonian government’s success in developing and integrating e-government into the daily life of its citizens and how helpful this system is for doing business there.
This will be followed by presentations on the three major techno/science parks located in Tallinn and Tartu. Information will be given about the full range of services they provide, their partnership programs and the advantages of doing business with them.
The final part of the event will be devoted to networking, where participants will have the opportunity to speak privately with any of the park representatives, to get more detailed information regarding partnerships, and to make new business contacts.
